Through March 17 (Mondays & Wednesdays) • Fallbrook's Writers Read is holding its winter Telling Our Tales creative writing workshop, “Craft, Craft & More Craft,” running Monday and Wednesday evenings through March 17. Offered in four two-day segments, the workshop focuses on elements of the creative writing craft, including character development, plot/arc, dialogue, and setting & tone. Facilitators will be award-winning authors Kate Harding of Rainbow and Kit-Bacon Gressitt of Fallbrook. Through March 28 • Fallbrook Art Center is proud to present its inaugural Signature American Watercolor Exhibition in conjunction with the National Watercolor Society’s (NWS) 89th Annual Exhibition Travel Show. The exhibition features 59 paintings from the finest water media artists working today. March 28 • 8 a.m.–noon • Kit Carson Park is the scene of the 2010 Paws in the Park fund-raiser that supports Escondido Humane Soceity’s animal rescue, rehabilitation and adoption programs. Registration and breakfast start at 8 a.m. The walk kicks off at 9 a.m., with 1.5 and 2.5-mile loops. The free Dog-gone fun entry contests begin at 10:15 a.m. and the awards ceremony commences at 11 a.m. Throughout the morning the Paw Vendor Expo will be held, including an interactive confidence-building course for dogs, games for dogs and kids, entertainment and tons of tail wagging, laughter and fun for all!
